daguerreotype photography
In 1839, Louis Daguerre created the first camera, which was named a daguerreotype. Unlike cameras in present times, this cameras would record the image on a metal plate and did not have the negative to positive process when developing. This photographs are intriguing, for they take us back to the industrial revolution and reveal the life back then. This blog was created for any daguerreotype or calotype I find interesting.
